The Matang Wildlife Centre is 50-minute from Kuching. It is part of Kubah National Park and is Sarawak's main centre for wildlife rehabilitation. The rescued animals being rehabilitated and kept here includes the orang utan, sun bears, bear cats, civets, samba deer, barking deer, porcupines, crocodiles and many more, all which can be viewed in spacious enclosures. Several aviaries house a variety of hornbills, cockatoos and owls. Lunch at Matang Wildlife Centre, followed by guided trek to Kubah National Park headquarters, passing through some of the most impressive rainforest scenery in Sarawak. Along the way, you will pass clear jungle waterfalls, fascinating plant species including rare palms, orchids and pitcher plants.
We have designed this unique tour product which gives you the chance to visit an animal rehabilitation center run by an N.G.O which is called PFA (People for Animals) along with the Taj Mahal tour. In the morning you enjoy a sunrise at the Taj and post breakfast you visit this center where you see the street dogs, cows, donkeys etc. being cared in a proper way. These animals who looter in the streets of Agra and somehow if they are mal nutritioned or succumb to injuries or under the yoke of old age are brought and given proper Medicare. Thus they live freely without fear and care for food. After the visit is over you are dropped back to your hotel.

In this tropical primary rainforest, you can see the varieties of birds, butterflies, Siamang (long arm apes), different kinds of reptiles.
Bohorok Rehabilitation Center is a shelter for Orangutan in Sumatra, that settled in Bukit Lawang. Bukit Lawang is one of the top destinations in Sumatra, Bukit Lawang is a small village on the edge of Gunung Leuser National Park in North Sumatra. Situated around 90 km north-west of Medan along the clear Bohorok River and on the outskirts of the tropical rainforest. This day tour involves jungle trekking through the Gunung Leuser National Park. It starts from Medan where you stayed already in this town. Drive to Bukit Lawang for 3-3,5 hours drive. Arrive in Bukit Lawang. After lunch time, you will make a short 3 hrs jungle trekking where you can see the semi or wild Orangutans. Steep, slopes and dense vegetation will bring you to the excitement of the Sumatra rainforest. Here you have the opportunity to see several species of indigenous flora and fauna. Walkers must be fit and have suitable, large profile shoes.
